New York, New York Charity Gala
“New York, New York” - That was the theme that brought fundraising success to Three Hills in November, as a local committee hosted a high class charity gala dinner in support of enhanced health care.
Over 200 guests attended the gala; each taking in the New York City vibe as they walked the red carpet, sipped champagne, and enjoyed the city skyline. Guests indulged in a delicious buffet dinner, followed by slices of New York Cheesecake and “Big Apple” Torte.
But, while the food and decorations were fabulous, it was the generosity and philanthropic spirits of the guests that made the gala the success that it truly was. From purchasing gala and raffle tickets, to supporting the event through donations, sponsorships, and auction bids, community members helped to raise $130,000 for health care in Three Hills.
Money raised through the gala was used to purchase a portable ultrasound for Three Hills Health Centre. This ultrasound, which has recently arrived in Three Hills, increases the accuracy and the speed of diagnosing a variety of emergency situations such as abdominal pain, appendicitis, and pregnancy complications.
